Requirements for Green Mountain Pony Club Center Lessons

  • Helmets are required. They must be ASTM F1163, AS/NZ 3838 or PAS 015 approved. Find these helmets at Approved Helmets. Use discount code AFL-UZCW for 5% off.

  • Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times when riding or working around horses. Unmounted footwear should be thick-soled shoes or boots (short or tall) of sturdy construction and in good condition. These boots should cover the ankle, be entirely closed, securely fastened and well fitted to the foot. Examples: paddock boots, rubber riding boots, rain boots/wellies, western boots. When mounted a conventional type of riding footwear with a heel is required, such as riding boots, paddock boots, or the equivalent. For footwear try Footwear.   • Medical Arm Band/Bracelet- we will provide medical arm bands as part of your “Starter Kit”.

  • Current Membership in good standing with United States Pony Club National & Regional- we will submit your application as part of your “Starter Kit”. Members older than 17 years of age will have further requirements above and beyond signing up through the “Starter Kit”. Please discuss this with us.

  • Pony Club Pin- we will provide one with your “Starter Kit”.

  • April- October English riders wear tan breeches with a collared shirt. Western riders wear jeans (full length leg with a collared shirt. We will place a shirt order during our monthly full club meetings.

  • Signed liability waiver on file.
